New MOBILE Resident Halit Eke from Istanbul in Helsinki

We are happy to welcome the new MOBILE Resident Halit Eke. Halit is a film director doing a residency at the HIAP Suomenlina residence from the 3rd of May until the 30th of November 2018.

 

 

Halit Eke was born Batman-Turkey, after acquiring Business Administration Bachelor from İstanbul Marmara University, he studied cinema in Lodz Film School. He worked at Babil Documentary Cinema Association as assistant, camera-person, assistant director and scriptwriter. He wrote and directed 3 short films and his first feature film that is shot in Paris is still in post-production. He is continuing his cinema studies in Paris and Istanbul.

Halit Eke is currently a PM MOBILE Resident at the HIAP Sumoenline residence, curated by Perpetuum Mobile (PM) and co-organised by PM with HIAP – The Helsinki International Artist Programme. The programme is funded by the Helsinki City Cultural Office, Finland.
